Garage Door Types

There are different types of garage doors:-

• Canopy, Sectional, Hinged, Roller and Retractable (recommended for electric door opening).
• Steel doors are available in a variety of colours or wood grain finishes (baked on in the factory) or plastic coated steel (Plastisol). Steel doors are maintenance free apart from washing down.
• Timber doors – look luxurious after installation but need regular staining to keep in good condition.
• GRP (glass reinforced plastic) doors usually work out slightly cheaper than timber and provide a smooth, high gloss surface available in a variety of colours or wood effect finishes. GRP doors do not need painting and will not rot or peel.

Some companies provide a glazing option within the door panels.
