Client Request - Builder - general in London SE20

Description of Job:

To close up a gap in the lean-to roof so that we are insulated. Support to the roof was wood and it has rotted. The roof is too short causing water to drip on to the supporting fascia board which has caused it to rot and the guttering to collapse. Ideally we need a long term fix.

Secondly this lean-to will need to be brought up to building regulations and habitation standards at some point in the near future. We understand from a reliable (but costly) local building firm that this will involve replacing the roof and the windows as well as the supporting joists. Their quotation is one we are considering but we welcome others from trusted and accredited firms.

Any responding builders will need to demonstrate whether they belong to FMB, PCA, FENSA etc and/or ideally be on the Governments approved list of traders. We are not mugs and will want  physical proof of trade memberships that are checkable and will be checked with the organisation in question. We would want checkable work that you have completed in the area. Please do not attempt to scare monger, we know what work needs to be done in our house and why.
